Are you new to the NDIS?
Getting Started with the NDIS:
- Eligibility Check: You’ll need to meet certain criteria to join the NDIS, such as having a permanent disability that affects your daily life.
- Access Request: You can make an access request through the NDIS by contacting the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
- Planning Meeting: Once you’re eligible, you’ll have a planning meeting with an NDIS planner. They will help determine the support you need and create your NDIS plan based on your goals and needs.
- Choosing Providers: After your plan is approved, you can choose the service providers who best meet your requirements, whether they are personal care, therapy, or other supports.
If you are already with the NDIS, it’s important to know that your plan can evolve as your needs change. You can review and update your plan as necessary.
